Position Summary:

 

This is a top leadership role reporting directly to the Logicworks CTO with responsibility for driving innovation, process, alignment, and timelines for Logicworks' portfolio of products and services including Managed AWS (mAWS), Managed Azure (mAzure), and Hosted Services. The product leader is responsible for leading the global product management function. The successful candidate will engage directly with customers and will foster an expectation of collaboration for all members of the product management team - setting a standard for customer-driven agile innovation; executed in close collaboration with UX, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Service to define and prioritize market-driven features, functionality and enhancements. This role will define and drive the process and approach to product management, with a focus on speed and agility, while maintaining the utmost level of security and trust, consistent with our leadership position in the Cloud Managed Services ecosystem.  He/she will define processes and track/evaluate industry trends and competitive offerings, drive product planning, development, documentation, customer beta testing and launch activities.  He/she will act as the product champion and user advocate throughout the product life cycle.  This position can be located in our NY or Seattle office.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  •   Minimum 5+ years experience leading a fast paced Product Management team
  •   At least 10+ years of experience in progressive product management roles
  •   Develop and lead an innovative product  team; establish focus, engage and inspire others, manage     performance and executive rapid product delivery
  •   Directly manage Product Managers for each key product line
  •   Directly manage Product Managers for horizontal services including UX (portal, reporting, and other     client facing touchpoints) and Secuirty & Compliance across key product lines
  •   Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Alliances, and Support operations to deliver new products and       enhancements in a fast, agile and customer-focused way
  •   Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers
  •   Work closely with the Chief Technology Officer and Engineering/Technical Leads to understand our     internal and external users' needs, and translate them into product requirements
  •   Maintain daily scrums with Product Leads and weekly scrums with other key leaders and                    dependencies including Product Marketing, which will report up through the Marketing organization
  •  Directly prioritize which roadmap items are most critical to achieving quarterly and annual strategic  and tactical objectives, including efforts that reduce technical debt
  •  Commitment to continuous delivery process improvements.

Minimum Education:

 

  •   4 year college degree required, CS or MIS degree preferred but not required
  •   MBA or other advanced degree, preferably in business or marketing, strongly preferred


Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

 

  • High-caliber leader with 15 plus years' experience, including extensive hands-on product experience
  • Track record of building great teams
  • Hiring for strong problem solving and great culture fit
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Must be adept at working well with other external groups
  • Experience growing and managing multiple teams in a distributed (virtual) model, with strong cross-departmental communication skills
  • Technical expertise is a requirement to understand architectural decisions and weigh in on the strategic vision
  • Proven history of results in a fast-paced and complex SaaS or Software-enabled Services organization
  • Experience successfully executing full-lifecycle Agile software development
  • Have established processes to work with product management and design to rapidly propotype concepts, test value, usability and feasibility, and to iterate quickly
  • Must have built a robust Product discipline
  • Executive presence and experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and judgment
  • Demonstrated results in making quick and at-times-difficult decisions
  • Maintains strong financial acumen and is a business thinker
  • Experience preparing and presenting quarterly updates to Board of Directors.
