Join us at Logicworks and provide world-class support to our proprietary cloud systems! This position will serve as the first line of defense of all of Logicworks’ Client Environments. We host over 100 different networked environments utilizing a vast array of cloud technologies, and take pride in our ability to solve customer issues with dedication and expertise. You will learn the latest cloud automation best practices as well as how to implement highly available, secure cloud infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and knowledgeable technical support / troubleshooting to all Logicworks customer systems – ranging in size from a few instances on AWS to over 1,200 virtualized servers;
  • Monitor and respond to customer requests submitted via our internal ticketing system in a timely manner using your excellent judgement and clear communication;
  • Escalate issues to senior engineering as necessary, working and learning alongside them to perform complex engineering for proprietary customer and internal systems;
  • Produce dynamic and digestible knowledge base content to strengthen our technical support wiki and other internal documentation;
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications We Look For:

  • 2+ years' professional experience performing server administration (Linux RHEL 6 and/or Windows Server 2008-12 preferred or later); and demonstrated interest in expanding your technical knowledge beyond your job description (this could be an extra Linux box in your closet, creating an AWS instance to play with, additional coursework, etc.)
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms, especially AWS and VMware (vCenter and vCloudDirector, vSphere 4 and 5)
  • Experience with SANs and NAS including iSCSI, NFS (Isilon) and FC
  • Foundational knowledge in networking technologies (Layer 2 & 3 switches, TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.)
  • Aptitude for customer service and support with clear written and verbal communication
  • Availability to work a non-traditional schedule (three to four 12hr days per week – including nights, weekends and holidays over the course of the year;  schedules rotate every three months in support of our 24x7x365 operations)
